Behavioral Geometry
A low continuous surface designed for shared use.
The ottoman is formed as a single upholstered volume wrapped in horizontal bands that compress the form into a calm, grounded profile. The elongated shape encourages use from multiple sides, allowing it to function as seating, resting surface, or central gathering point.
A recessed metal base traces the perimeter and lifts the mass slightly from the floor. The separation introduces lightness to the otherwise dense volume, giving the piece presence without heaviness.
Each upholstered band is individually formed and layered to maintain structure while softening gradually with use. The broad top surface allows shifting positions rather than fixed seating.
Used collectively rather than individually, the piece supports informal occupation and movement around it.
Designed as a shared element — a soft platform that organizes surrounding seating.
