DIVISION STUDY 03
Behavioral Geometry

A shared surface organized around a central anchor.

The form is divided into two upholstered volumes joined by a solid walnut plane. Rather than functioning as a separate table and seating, the piece combines both — creating a continuous social surface where objects and people occupy the same field.

Rounded ends soften the mass while the horizontal channeling compresses the upholstery into a structured profile. The symmetry allows the ottoman to be approached from any side without hierarchy or orientation.

The walnut center element acts as a stabilizing spine. It provides a firm surface for placement while visually grounding the softer upholstered forms. Beneath, a recessed metal base lifts the volume slightly from the floor, allowing the piece to float despite its size.
Seating is informal and adaptable — used for sitting, resting, or gathering around. The proportions encourage multiple users at once rather than a single position.

Designed as a social anchor — part table, part seating, and part spatial organizer.
